What a free Candy account gives

• Shorts: episode 2 of every public series, on top of the episode 1 anyone can open. That is 361 free episodes across the catalog (including 1 extra in Simona Rossi: Wrong But Right).
• Images: 1 generated image, according to Candy's help center.
• Chat: up to 5 messages, per the same article.
• Tokens: none that we could find in Candy's pages or help center.

Tokens that come with a plan

The Premium tokens are the closest thing to "free" tokens: they are included in the subscription price rather than bought separately. Spent on Shorts, they open 8 standard episodes a month.

Free tokens versus free episodes

For Shorts, free episodes matter more than free tokens. The usual series has 5 episodes, 2 of them free, so the free account already gives you 40% of a typical series. The tokens only decide whether you see the last 3.

Token generators and "free token" links

Sites and videos offering a Candy token generator, a promo code that adds hundreds of tokens, or a modded app have one thing in common: they ask for something first, typically your Candy login, a survey or a download. Candy's help center says it has no native app, so a "Candy APK" does not come from Candy. The only token sources we know of are Premium and the packs sold in Candy's own checkout.

Spend what you have before it goes

Candy's help center says canceling keeps your tokens, while section 10.2 of its terms says remaining tokens expire at the end of the billing period. If you hold Premium tokens and plan to cancel, use them first.

How far the free account goes, by series length

On the usual short series the free account shows you a large part of the story; on the longest ones it shows the opening. Either way it costs nothing, and the same account works on every public series.

The free route, step by step

1. Open any public series on candy.ai and watch episode 1. No account, no tokens.
2. When you reach episode 2, create the free account (email and password, or Google or Discord).
3. Watch episode 2 of that series, then of any other public series: 180 of them, all free with the same account.
4. If you want Candy's adult tier, open a Spicy series: Candy asks logged-out visitors to sign up to view it.
5. Stop there, or move to tokens with Premium or a pack.

Claims we could not confirm

• "New accounts get free tokens." Candy's pages and help center do not say so, and the free account form says nothing about tokens.
• "Watch an ad or complete a survey for tokens." We found no such program from Candy.
• "Promo codes for free tokens." We found no code program in Candy's help center. Codes posted elsewhere cannot be checked from outside an account.
• "Premium tokens never expire." Candy's help center and terms of service disagree, as explained above.

Free tokens or free episodes: which matters more?

For Shorts, free episodes. A token only matters once you reach a paid episode, and the free account already covers the first two episodes of everything public. If you want more than that, the cheapest known source of tokens with a public price is Premium, from $3.99 a month on the 12-month plan, which includes 100 tokens a month.

Getting the most out of the free episodes

• Browse by price, not only by poster. The catalog sorts by tokens to finish, so you know before you start which series would be cheap to complete if you like them.
• Use episode 2 as the decision point. It is the last free episode on almost every series, and the first one that needs the account.
• Check the length. On a long series the free episodes show only the opening; on a short one they show a good part of the story.
• Keep one account. The free episodes are the same for every account, so a second account adds nothing.

Keeping the account safe

A Candy account can hold a subscription and a token balance, so treat its login like any other paid account: a unique password, or the Google or Discord login if you prefer not to create one. Do not enter it on any site that promises tokens, codes or unlocks; those sites have no access to Candy's balances. If you subscribe, the charge shows as "EverAI"; the EverAI page explains it.

What "free" means on Candy

Candy uses "free" for several different things, and they are easy to mix up:

• Free episode 1: plays with no account at all, on every public series.
• Free episode 2: costs 0 tokens but is locked behind the free account.
• Free account: no payment details, and with it the free episode 2, 1 image and 5 chat messages, per the help center.
• "Free tokens" with Premium: Candy's help center describes Premium's monthly allowance as free tokens. They come with a paid subscription.

None of these is a free token balance for a free account, which is why this page's answer to "how do I get free tokens" is, for Shorts, "use the free episodes instead".

How long the free episodes run

Episode 1 is the free episode we can time from outside an account. Across the 148 series whose episode 1 we measured, the median runtime is 1:06, from 0:45 to 1:58. Candy's help center says Shorts episodes last under two minutes. Two free episodes per series therefore add up to a few minutes of viewing each, and the 361 free episodes across the catalog to many hours.
